Leak
Oh, the joys of bike maintenance: since a couple of weeks I’m struggling with an oil leak. It’s a long story, but I think I have it figured out now. You see the culprits on the picture: the (silicone) gasket between the alternator cover and the engine casing is failing on a couple of spots, most likely due to ahum a problem with my chain I had a while ago (had it first too tight, then too loose). So my mission now is: take the alternator cover off, clean the crap out of it, reseal it with new gasket material and reassemble the bike. Status now: I cleared everything out of the way (front sprocket, clutch slave cylinder, gear shifter actuation rod), drained the oil and am ready to take the cover off.
